Peter Sutoris is an anthropologist of education and the environment, concerned with how different societies imagine the future differently. He is committed to helping bring higher education more in sync with the challenges of the current historical moment. He studied at Dartmouth College, USA and the University of Cambridge, where he completed his doctorate as a Gates Scholar in 2019. He has consulted widely on international development projects in Asia and Africa and has an extensive background in policy research. Much of his work has focussed on India, Nepal and South Africa. He is the author of two books, Visions of Development and Educating for the Anthropocene.
